well if it is say for a name or a pet, you have put your choices and you may not be able to choose one or the other, if i knew for sure which name or webbie i wanted i just wouldn't ask.
i made a pool and thought i could see the results but i couldn't so i had to vote and try to remember whihc i voted for so i didn't count that number in the total.
i idn't understand that option at first either so maybe it's just ignorance.
My thought is that while they may have clicked the your answer only option it does not mess up your poll statistically speaking as you can treat those clicks as if they never answered. The only numbers that should matter to you in the end are the one's that voted for one of the actual options. Yes its annoying but something that you could overlook very quickly.
Not to be rude or anything, but just don't put the option... vote with your opinion, and then just subtract one for the results, because you KNOW that someone is going to click on it regardless of whether or not you dont want them to.. sorry if that sounded rude but i didnt mean for it to be.
