It makes me so sad to see people being hacked on Webkinz, and I'd just like to remind you to keep those passwords and secret codes safe! There are some extremely terrible scammers and hackers out there, so keep your account safe!
~Create a strong password
The best passwords are over eight characters long, and have numbers and capitals. Oh, and it helps if you can remember it. Don't make a password over 20 letters long that isn't memorized by heart. Some things you think you'll remember, and you don't. Dx And using your username for your password as well isn't smart, although it is easy to remember.
A great password combo is one of your [more unique] interests + a random word + your favorite number. Like solitaireWindow1234. Who'd guess that? And the best words/interests to use are the ones that are more unique with tricky spelling. [As in 'Ju jitsu' would be a lot better than 'drawing.' xD]
~Remember your password.
Say it over and over until you have it totally memorized. Practice typing it so that your fingers just get used to it.
If you really can't remember it, buy one of those locking journals, and write all your passwords in it. Make sure to write your username beside it, or you'll have to try all of them in the book if you forget.
As for secret codes, keep them out of sight in a safe spot. I doubt the hacker would be in your house looking for them, but just to be safe.
Too many sercet codes? Technically you only need one to retrieve your password if its lost, so it's up to you whether to keep them. However I feel the need to keep all of mine.
~Mix it up
If you want even more extra protection, you could have three or four passwords you could rotate once a month or so.
Scammers are up there with hackers in my opinion. Make sure to be educated in what items are worth in Webkinz world. Don't let someone trick you out of your best items in the trading room. Check out the wiki on here, and compare. You can never know too much.
You just totally protected your webbies and yourself.
