Every game has a target audience. Sometimes it is aimed towards what the industry will group as "female" or "casual gamers," and other times it will be towards the more "gamer" types. This is only one way they determine who will play it, or what their target is, along with the age of the audience they wish to acquire.

Webkinz is a group devoted to kids mainly ages 5-12. TT is for people over 13 and targeted to women and "intrigue". (Personally, I find it ****st..and I'm sure the innocent word I just typed will receive ***)
I find it odd that WI
is paying so much attention to this new project from Ganz. I also find it a bit disconcerting that I am getting questions from my *edited, please do not reveal the ages of family or friends. --missgnomie
as to why people only over 13 can play it.
It's kind of like a G-rated movie advertising PG-13 movies to kids.
Just my opinion.....
It's really important to note, that while you may fall into that target... It is always up to you, or yourself as a parent to determine if it is the right game for you--not everyone will be comfortable, or interested in what it has to offer. Obviously there are some of us who fall way outside the target of webkinz who still enjoy it...and the parent of a child may make the same decision with Tail Towns.
Tail Town insiders will provide a separate community from WI and Webkinz. The links to all of our "Insider families" have always been up above since the branching out began, and it is simply so others are aware of what communities are also offered...which will share the same vision and safety provided here at WI.
WI will always be separate from Tail Towns (although their will be familiar faces on both sides). It is two different communities and two different games.
