We should all be members such as yourself. KUDOS TO YOU!
Thank you! It makes me feel the same way. I would much rather post on meaningful threads as well. All threads should be meaningful is people put the effort in to make them that way. Post counts shouldn't mean anything, but sadly some people don't think the same.

Very good metaphor you made here.
It just shows you can't judge a book by its cover.

I have to agree with you here. People might have been amazed when I had 100 posts on my first day, and you do have a lot of posts, but who really cares?

Rep to you.

I tend to agree with you. The only reason post count is important to me right now is because I am trying to be a Gift Trainee. After that, who cares!

That should definitely be the only time people are concerned about their count.
Thanks for posting this!

I fully understand where you are coming from with this. I think that the whole competition aspect some bring to WI are all because of stats--posts, rep, etc. If these items could be disabled at the user's discretion, it could really be a great thing. Not all users want to be known for their post count--but the content of their posts...and not all members want to be known by their rep--but that they were able to help people.
