Default An option to not show our rep boxes

Many members on WI always get judged on their rep boxes. I defientelly think that is the wrong way to judge a person. To end this from happening shouldn't their be an option ( your personal choice, of course ) to not show our rep boxes. I know people like to show them proudly of how helpful a member is but in the end it all turns out into becoming a big popularity contest. I've heard that WI has gotten the rep boxes taken away. So if you want to keep them why not prevent this from happening by adding a option to not show our rep boxes?

Please post your opinions about my idea.

Yeahhhhh..........
As much as I love that suggestion, I think it's not an option. You have all the rep boxes taken away or none.
Though it is a great idea!

I like the idea, if this feature is available...

I don't like it when people are judged by that stuff. They think 'Oh no! That person only has 1 star! They must be really lame..' or 'Since she only has 100 posts there's no WAY I'm talking to her ever!!'
and that is SO mean! (I'm sure nobody does that, I'm exaggerating, but you never know!) So this would be a good idea to those who don't want their stats being displayed all over WI for whatever reason. Rep!

Justin told me the other day, when I asked him to REMOVE mine, that it is an ALL or None thing. They either ARE or they AREN'T. I think you have just discovered how I feel about them
I would prefer they didn't exist, to be honest

This is a very tough question.
Even though it does sometimes start contests and such, i like rep and want it to stay. I think that we should keep it so that we can still show people that are helpful and nice that we appreciate what they do. I would really be blue if rep was taken away, because I know that a lot of members have really really worked hard for their rep boxes, and are proud of them. It's almost like stars. Yes, it can turn into competitions, but for use member who compete with ourselves, it's a fun goal.
So, I would prefer it if we kept rep. At least for now.

I think we should keep them, for us. Not for us to brag but like (Dixiecup, i'll use you because you're really helpful!) Say I made a thread that no one has posted on and I need an answer. I browse the forums and see DixieCup. I look at her rep boxes and say, 'Hmm.' xD Then I know she would be a good person to ask.

I think that there should be an option though. Like on the profile pages, you can hide user customizations.

Great thread!

I would like to keep them because it tells if the person is helpful or something.

That would be a nice idea.....
Or we could all have none.
But, not possible.
The thing is, when Justin brought rep back, he didn't want us talking about it too much.
Now, every 1 in 3 threads in the WI Rules & Suggestions is something about rep, or any other aspect of rep. The word, REP should be starred -------->>**** out.
Just my opinion.

Honeyluv--I don't think rep should be *** out. It's not bad.
