Default Option to expand sub-boards

I think it would be nice if we had an option to expand sub-boards. I've seen it on other forums, and it really is a helpful feature. I use it a lot on those forums, and it's so convenient!

You're probably wondering what the heck expanding sub-boards is. Now, this may be a bit hard to explain, but I'll give it a try.

Let's take the General Discussion board for an example. It has quite a few sub-boards.

As you can see in the picture below, there are also threads simply in the General Discussion board, but not placed in any sub-boards.

To expand the sub-boards would mean to take the threads from the SUB-BOARDS, and place them where threads are made in the General Discussion forum but not placed in any sub-board. It's basically like having ALL the threads in General Discussion put together with NO sub-boards dividing them. (Though there would still be the sub-boards on the top)

I'm probably making no sense at all... please let me know if you don't understand what I'm saying. But I do think this would be very helpful, if members had the option to expand sub-boards.

Thanks for reading this extremely confusing thread.

I'm pretty sure I get what your saying...

And I think it would be pretty cool as long as it was optional and we could turn it on/off

I'm not exactly sure if I get this...why would you still have the sub-boards if you moved all those threads into the General Discussion section?

Sometimes, for me, personally, I just want to scan the threads and see what interests me, without having all these sub-boards to look through. You know, just to be able to see ALL the threads in the section. For some boards, this isn't the case, but with others, it would be helpful. Am I making any sense?

Oh! So you would have those threads in the sub-boards, and the General Discussion area?

Click below where it says 'subscribed threads' under your login.
Click on New posts and I think that might be what you are trying to say...is it?

I think she is trying to say that the threads should appear in both the main area of the General Discussion, and also in the certain sub-board.
