i disagree sometimes i make a large post on open mike section and i like getting posts from open mike.

I agree but I disagree.

I agree that the fluff posts on the DCT shouldn't count, but what if people post helpful/long informative posts in Open Mike? So, I'm in between on this.

I kind of agree, but when a mod/admin is considering you for a GT they look at what's IN your post not how many. They can see everything you post.

I feel that if they change it then the people get to keep there posts. I enjoy the DCT but I do feel like the 10 letter rule needs to be adjusted. Many people do post * 10 letter rule * and I don't feel like that is ok. I think it would be better if they just changed that.

This is a good idea too. I know what everybody means in their posts. I see a lot of fluff posts in open mike, but then there are also posts that are not fluff at all but actually very helpful.
