A lot of people think that the only way to earn respect here is to get a high status, but that is totally not true. There are a lot of people who have Webkinz status that I admire, some more so than I do those who are GT/Gifted/Gift Guru.
It doesn' t really matter what title one holds, it's what is in their hearts and how they portray themselves that really counts. You could be the president of a company but that means nothing because without all the people who work alongside that president there wouldn't be a company.
The same can be said for this and any forum, without everyone who contributes and joins in the fun there wouldn't be mod's admins, gurus, gifted, trainee's we as a whole community make WI the special place it is.
It makes me sad to think someone would ever feel less than who they are just because of a little title underneath their names, now I admit when someone gets a new title I send congrats but that is not because I think they have become more special, but because they have accomplished a goal.
In the real world we don't go around with titles on our sleeves however we do get labled perhaps we should all ignore the labels and move on to get to know a person from the inside instead of what title or label lies beneath them?
Each and every person is special we all have our own unique qualities and traits and titles have nothing to do with who one is, it's all about how you treat one another that counts.
This is a great thread! I, too, have seen people get down on themselves because they are "just a webkinz". A higher status just means more responsibility. Enjoy your status, whatever it is and be patient. You will move up in rank. It just takes time.
