Default An Official Guide

Hello...

I'd think it would be wonderfully helpful to new members of the forum if WI had an Official WI Guide, just explain the site and what you can do on it a bit more than the FAQ's do. Also, many new members do not read the FAQ's, and "Official" and "Guide" sound a bit more interesting, which may get them to read it. The guide could be posted as a sticky in the "Hi, I'm Joe, and I LOVE my Webkinz!" section. Just a thought, LMK if you agree/disagree

I think WI has many areas that help out new members. They have the section you mentioned, the option to read the FAQ's, and there are quite a few members who actually post welcome notes on the new member's profiles. If all else fails, they should see the "Somebody Help!" forum and post there.

It is a good idea, and things will be more helpful if you use it. We don't really, really need it though. We have a whole lot more options to recieve help from. Is the new members come everyday, they'll learn everything slowly, but by bit (like me!!!). It would be cool to have a thread like that, it will really help more Thanks for letting us know your thoughts!

I sort of agree... wi has many places to read that sort of thing, and offical and guide sounds more interesting than FAQ....

New members love exploring the forum to see what sections you can post it, and in that process, they find the FAQ, Rules, and many stickied threads and guides that can help them.

Yeah, maybe like all the sticky'd guides put together in 1?
I mean, it's easier then reading a ton of different guides & people having to ask where they are, and people being confused.
It'd be a lot of information.
Maybe it IS easier then having separate ones, maybe it isn't. Idk.
But good idea, actually, nice thinking :]

Well, Members are supposed to read the rules once they join.
If they create a 'Hi I'm new thread', most people will tell them to check out the FAQ for help if needed. If not, I think the 'Somebody Help!' Forum sticks out pretty well. This is a thoughtful idea, but it would kind of be a waste since everything in it would be already posted in other places.

I agree with all of these people here - nice thinking, though!
