Not quite sure if this is an option for vBulletin, but I suppose I'll suggest it anyway.
Well, first off, when you recieve a notification, an arrow appears under your username and tells you that you have a notification.
If this was possible, wouldn't it be great if it said who posted on your profile, or who commented on a picture- in the little notification space? If there were more than one, than maybe it could either a) have a dropdown list posting the names of the people or b) telling the last person who posted on your profile, or commented on a picture. I just think this would be pretty cool. If you were awaiting an important visitor message from somebody, you would be able to tell if you needed to go to it right away or you could still visit that thread you wanted to visit, or something of the like.
Tell me if you like the idea. Tell me if you don't like it.
So you sorta have a preview or what's going on. Like if your PMing someone and it did that, you'd be able to see if it was them. And maybe it'll sorta read the first few words too. Then you can click on that. Sorta like what they do on Yahoo! Mail. Have a short preview of your email. I know this would have been helpful when I was becoming a gift trainee, me and my coach could have gone alot faster.
