Default A "mature" section for creative writing

Hi!

As a writer, I find it a little bit hard to exclude things such as kissing and crushes and such from my stories if it was a big part of the story before I put it on WI. But I still feel that the story wouldn't be totally appropriate for a seven-year-old. So my suggestion would be to make a subsection in the creative writing section that contains a little bit of "mature content". I don't mean mature mature content, but just stories that include crushes or kissing or boyfriends/ girlfriends. You could only have access to this page if you were 12 or older or had your parents/ guardian fill out a form of some sort. When I played Neopets way back when, you could only have access to the forum if you were 13 or older (or had a parent fill out a form), and that's where I got the idea.

My only doubt is that WI doesn't ask your age when you sign up... or does it? Hmmm... I don't remember!

Thanks for reading!

Well that would be excluding certain members - and WI doesn't do that.

But what about the GE and Mods and GGs? Aren't those members privileged?

Yes!! That would be awesome. I'd like a section of stuff for people like me who are a bit (or a lot ) too old for the ol' K-rated stories (K rating for stories means it's suitable for little kids to read, no kissing, nobody dying, etc.)

Sorry, but you are simply going to have to write for a general audience. A mature section is out of the question for two reasons:

1-We cannot ask the children their age. In fact, doing so would be against the laws protecting children on the internet (COPPA law)

2-Even if we were told their age, there would be no way of verifying the information.

Please remember that this is a Webkinz Forum. It is meant to be read by young children, and we ask that you keep this in mind when you do your creative writing.
