Default Lock your own threads

Well, I know that a lot of people create guides that still are missing something. So this is kind of another idea about saving uncompleted threads. How about being able to lock\unlock your own threads? So you could lock it when you didn't think it was ready. Or unlock it when it was ready. Of course if a staff member locks it you wouldn't be able to open it again. What do you think?

There was a thread similar to this not posted that long ago, but it was about the Graphics section, not every part of the forum. I think especially for guides and graphics we should be able to lock and unlock our threads. It would be very useful, and we wouldn't have to ask the mods/admins.

Great idea, 05! I have to make some threads that aren't wuite ready for posting yet, so then it's a big thing because I have to finish it in a rush..locking it until you're ready would be nice! And as you said, if the mods/admins locked it, it couldn't be changed. Rep!

I support this idea, because it is a pain to go and tell a moderator or whatever to close your thread, and then you have to tell them to reopen it, and it would be much easier on them if you did it yourself. I'm sure they get at least a hundred PMs each day telling them to open or reopen a thread. But if a mod closes a thread for specific reasons, then you shouldn't be able to reopen it. Like mods can put a User Un-Lockable thing on it so that they wouldn't be about to re-open it.

That would be pretty cool to be able to do. I think that would be a lot of help in like the Help section. They won't have to call a moderator or anything just to show you have answered the question. Just for that reason i think it would be a good idea.

For the Help Section, you can now close it by choosing the best answer.

There was already a thread about this from cocoabean. Remember to search before posting to make sure there aren't similar threads.
