I was reading through my rep's today. There was really nice thing posted there. Reading through them has really put a smile on my face. In the past I have been guilty of giving very vague rep. But after reading through mine I realized what potential that little thumb really holds. So, when posting rep please be sure to let the other person know EXCTLY why you are giving it. Because you have the power in that one little post to REALLY make someones day. And I don't know about anyone else, but I do think that the impact you have on others is very very important. I love the thought of putting a smile on someones face! Thanks for reading!
Oh, totally agree. And sometimes it makes me go back and read the rest of the posts on that thread when I might otherwise lose track of it entirely. I did get a blank one once and wasn't sure what to make of it.
I never read them, I don't worry about it that much. I have lots of them though. I just post my opinion and move on. I always leave rep if the thread is Helpful to everyone on matters concerning Webkinz & Webkinz world. I think most don't because they don't care to.
Rep is a great way to let someone know that something they did or said has been noticed and appreciated. Whether it is kindness to someone, really good help, or going out of your way to make someone else's day... rep is a great feature. I agree, though... give it when it's earned, not because it's a friend and you want their rep boxes to grow. I've received blank reps and have actually PM'd the individuals to say thanks... but ask them WHAT it was they thought I did to earn it. LOL I don't really care for 'random' or 'just because' reps. I like to know that I've done something that has made someone's day. And I very much enjoy, and look for posts, that earn and deserve them. It's a great way to spend some time, thanking individuals for all the help they give to other by finding a reason to share a rep with them.
I completely agree. When someone leaves it blank, or just a smiley or something, I feel happy, but sort of like a cup filled halfway. When people do that, you know you helped them but you have no idea what you did to help them, it's like getting thanked halfway. i think that the best way to give someone rep, is to make it a real message. For instance, 'Thank you so much for this guide, now I know exactly how to do it and I am really happy! ', now that's the kind of rep that makes me smile ear to ear, because if someone cares enough to give you rep and a little message, you know that they really likes what you did, they aren't just giving you rep because they said they would.
I agree. I have had people post really thoughtful and helpful things on my threads. It makes me feel good that there are people out there who take the time to post good information. I think these people deserve a pat on the back and deserve to know that they have helped someone else have a better day. Use reps to let people know they are appreciated!
