True...but we have freedom of speach...I think people should be able to post what they want, and the mods can decide how many of each thread is allowed...

Actually, we shouldn't be able to post duplicates. In the Guidelines under the Forum Rules, it says

"Creating duplicate threads Before starting a new thread use the search feature to check that the subject of your intended post is not already covered by an existing thread. Post to existing threads wherever possible."

I would read the rules over a little.

I see this all the time! Before I make a thread, I always search to see if there are any threads already made on that topic. Another thing that happens when threads on the same topic are made is that people use the same exact information that somebody used in another thread on the same topic. It's not fair to the person who originally made that thread because they put a lot of hard work into getting the information and putting it together, and then somebody goes and uses it! These are just two reminders we all have to keep in mind.

I agree!
Lets say,on the front page,WI gets information from Ganz that a new Webkinz is coming out. So WI post's it on the front page, out in the open, the world can see it,yet theirs a bunch of threads saying "Ganz just made a new Webkinz!!!"

Rep if I can give you any,and great thread!

Funny that this a topic that has been repeated over and over.
The thread will get deleted. But, if you just adopted a new Dalmation Webkinz, for example, then if someone else adopted it, would you consider that repeating? I know the answer will be a no, but exceptions are made for repeating threads.

I agree whole-heartily about duplicate threads but also have searched and when I do find one for the info I'm looking for it can require me to read hundreds of responses. I can see why someone would find it quicker to ask the question again.

Simply asking these questions for my knowledge:

How often or does WI ever "clean out" old threads/posts?
Does/Would getting rid of these allow WI to run faster and smoother?
Does someone get more WI bucks if they start a thread vs just replying to one?

Hm... It matters what the topic is.. Like badena said if someone adopted a signature timberwolf and you did to(Obessed with wolves and cows ) there is nothing wrong with posting the same adoption type!! And i understand that it might get annoying if people post what is already on the front page!! But you have to remember some people(Such as myself ) may not feel like reading the front page at times!!

And also like webberlilly said certain threads that are repeated get deletted(However you spell it). My computer is extremely slow with the searches also!! I just kind of scan also since i don't want to wait 5 minutes for my laptop to load since it can be such a pain in the rear end!!

Yes, I realize people post the same things when they adopt the same pets. I never said I had a problem with that.
