I agree with what you are saying, and I think you have a great point. Thankfully, I don't see this bragging much, maybe it happens in parts of the forum I don't post in often. I do get a lot of FRs, and I always answer them to be nice, because, honestly, I like having a big friend list. It makes me feel proud so many people notice my post. The thing I don't do is go around saying I have over 100 friends, or bragging. I usually send request ot people I notice helping a lot, or someone I talk to often. You are totally and completely right. I was waiting for a thread like this.
I'm sick of people trying to be popular. Well, the bad popular. I look at popular people in 2 ways:
1, the bad way: Stuck up people who want to be big hotshots and get people to do what they want them to do.
2, the good way: People who have lot's of loyal friends. Friends they talk to, communicate with, and show friendship
I haven't been on WI as much as I used to be, and apparently a lot has changed with people and popularity in such. So here is a message I send to everyone: You don't have to be popular to have friendship.
