well i'm not sure it could be one of our computers crashed like 3 weeks ago and we got a new one it is a dell and that has happend to me like 6 times already and the anti virus thing usually finds atleast 1200 things wrong... could it be? idk but i'm staying!
yes, as i had said earlier in a separate thread, mine had shut down while i was viewing WI, it showed me a blue screen breifly saying something about "crashing"-i was freaking out and then it restarted and my scanners were going crazy and i had about 100 internet explorers popping up everywhere! finally i got it turned off and then I restarted it again and everything was fine....
Attention Everyone who reads this. Just a little warning as I have experienced this myself on my daughter's Laptop. Beware of popups that say scan your computer or download files to check for viruses. Two days ago, my daughter's laptop received one (her antivirus software had expired and she didn't tell me) and she did the scan and downloaded the program (IT WAS A VIRUS) this supposed antivirus software/program was the actual virus. The name of this supposed antivirus program/software is ANTIVIRUS 2009 do not download.
Beware of popups and downloading files and always make sure you have a real antivirus program/software such as Norton Antivirus or McAffee
I had a problem two days ago. I logged on and it said that windows was infected and spyware was detected and I needed to purchase Antivirus 2009 for 49.95. It kept popping up.I didn't purchase it. I rebooted and ran a scan with McAffee. That seemed to clear it. It was the first time I have ever had anything like that happen. Pretty scary.
Thanks for sharing so I know now it wasn't just me. Sorry about your virus. I hope everything worked out okay.
