If it's a thread that you don't need to respond to, like a "please pray" type of thread, you can pass over it, there's no real reason to post. For example, if a member posts a thread to pray for something, you could pray and not post.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. I browse on the forums a lot, and I only post on a handful of those friends. If I had a thread open with, say, a story, I'd rather have 2 posts of helpful comments and crits than 2 pages of empty compliments. I just don't see the point of feeling like you must post on every thread you view. If you feel you have to do that, at least try to make the post worthwhile and offer some sort of topic of conversation, or a tip to make the poem/story/drawing better, depending on the thread. At least add some bulk to the posts, you know?
