Default Re: If you *thought* you ordered....

Just an FYI folks that I spoke with Michele's mom in law this afternoon. Her mom in law did not know anything about a death in the family and said as far as she knew there was no death in the family. She said Michele wasn't home and it would take a few days for her to get back to me. I called back later and asked for Michele's husband and she said he wasn't home at the moment.

Another user on this thread called the SAME number and spoke to the husband and the husband said Michele was not home and he didnt know anything about the business.

Folks - PLEASE stop holding out hope and contact your credit cards/paypal/google/bank whatever...

Also I just wanted to urge you to contact your local police department.. this is fraud, big time... PLEASE dont let her just walk away from this. Even if you get a refund, you need to make sure she doesnt do this to other people.

Also, I personally believe that she started giving refunds AFTER the first phone calls she got to her home phone number... I dont think she expected any one here to have the brains to find out where she was etc...

Thanks Zelda for the reminder of that information. One thing that is great about using googlecheckout and paypal is that the seller actually doesn't get the credit card information so there isn't any way for them the charge additional charges to the card.

I have actually been scammed about 3 times before but it was all in person sales transactions. In two of the cases the person wrote down my card number (waiter & gas station attendant) In both of those cases, it was easily traceable as to who they were and where they got my card from. I went to the police and nothing. It was too small for them to worry about.

I purchase online and ebay quite frequently actually and have never had an issue. I personally would rather purchase online through paypal than in person now. I have also sold things and have been scammed as a seller quite a few times unfortunately - more than as a buyer actually

Its a shame but scams happen online, in person & as both a buy and a seller. I just have to keep reminding myself that the majority of the people out there are good.

wow can't believe people were able to get in contact with the seller. Glad that those that bought stuff kept communication via the forum otherwise who knows what would of happened.

just an fyi to folks... this is grand theft, across state lines, over phone lines (internet), this is a major issue... even if your order is only $10 PLEASE do not let it go... do not let her keep YOUR money even if its such a small amount... it all adds up and this probably isnt the first time and wont be the last time

Before everyone FREAKS ABOUT THE Credit card numbers....

Google Check out/Pay Pal DOES NOT LET THE MERCHANT HAVE THE #

There is zero to worry about there.

I ditto everything that legalcat has said. This is fraud and she is capable of defrauding others in the future. This woman is a criminal. Don't give her the opportunity to scam other unknowing people. Don't let her off the hook!!

Also many users of this forum have done the leg work to find out the ins and outs of this situation. Kudos to them for remaining so vigilant.
