Default Idea!:♥:

COMPLAINT:Ya' know how your books have to be children's stories?I can't write children's stories, and none of my books can be posted. And also,ya' know what?I can't post my books anywhere else because everywhere else ruins my computer!
IDEA:What if,we could all post our books and have little warnings in the title?

yea, but that's not going to stop kids from clicking...and anyway, if they are adult books, some kids might think its funny to read things innapropriate for them.

Hmm... maybe there could be a limit to the age you can put. Like, for example, the highest you could put was 10+ or something. I feel kinda the same, it's not like my books are horrible for children, but I may have to edit some parts, they can be sad as they deal with real life.

Yes, I think it's a good idea, warnings. I write a lot of stories that are not always appropriate for younger children, but I'd like to share them.

I like the idea but WI has members as young as 5 years old. There are someyoung members and their parents sure owuldn't be happy if their children knew what ya'll were talking about. But 'children's book' doesn't work right.. more like 'appropriate book'

It's not like you have to write.
And so the cow ate a frog and sneezed like a bird.

lolz.

It just can't have kissing or anything like that.

I like this idea!! Although, there wouldn't be a lot stopping the younger members from viewing these regardless, which I think is why they have the rules in the first place. I don't think they'd have made that rule if there was another choice.

Well alot of great children's books deal with very sad real life stuff....Like Charlotte's Web. I can still remember how hard I cried after that one was read to me. And even though this one was a movie, My Dog Skip (?I think that was the name) was real tear jerker, too. Both are considered G rated. And alot of truly great children's stories deal with not only death but alot more.

It is all how the content is presented to the child. There is nothing wrong with exposing children to certain real life situations. In fact it can be a really great thing. It helps them understand things that they may not otherwise comprehend. And some may even be dealing with a particular situation at that time or in their future...death of a loved one, divorce, and betrayl. As we all know these are not situations that pertain to grown ups only.

I think that lot of parents I know want to and do shelter there kids from to much. Then when some of these things happen in real life to their own families, the parents struggle much more and have a tough time explaining/relating to their kids feelings.

A book or movie can be a great way to move into a needed conversation. And it puts big stuff out there in a way that help children relate and can understand. In the end it can frequently translate something they are experiencing in their lives and it helps them realize that they are not the only ones going through x,y, or,z.

I think as long as the really Adult content is left out than this it is a really great idea!
