Hi. I see a lot of "I had a bad day" threads in Open Mike, and to me.. what's the point?
I know that everyone has the right to create any thread they want, and most people make these seeking reassurance from their fellow members.. but to me, when I see that, I think kind of, 'poor me' or 'feel bad for me', to be honest. I know that's definitely NOT what people make them for, but that's the message they get across for me.
Personally, I don't exactly like picking through that section and having to read a whole thread about how someone is really upset and had a horrible day. Most people post trying to lift their spirits, but why post it in the first place? If you REALLY need to talk to someone about it, why not PM a close friend or talk to your parents?
I'm kind of half way with this right now, tbh, because I know there's nothing wrong with posting these. It's just my opinion, and I'd love to hear yours.
I don't know, I understand but, sometimes, people do need a little sympothy. I mean, after you get just 5 words right on a 10 word spelling test, if there is no more to the day, I don't see the point in that. And after every bad day you have.. well, you couldn't make a thread for all your bad days. But, I do understand that some people do need to cry and share their problems. Though may not quit as much as they do, lol. Honestly though, It doesn't really bother me.
