Wink How you can avoid arguements on WI. ♥ ♥ ♥

Hi Everybody!

Arguements on WI are not fun for people on both sides. They cause people to feel angry, upset, or both.

Here are some ways you can avoid it....

1. If you see someone who wrote something you disagree with you can politely state your disagreement without being mean towards the other person.

2. If there is a thread that is about something you really don't like for example, twilight, you don't have to post on it if it were a thread where people would get offended with your disagreement. But if you did say how much you didn't like it or how much you disagree with the opinions expressed on it, you could say whatever you felt politely. It's good to express your opinion but you should express it in a way that is non-hurtful and isn't impolite.

3. If there is a thread that someone says something that's very rude or hurtful to other members, you should report it and then there wouldn't be any arguements.

Thank you for stopping by to read this thread!

♥ Pandora ♥

2. If there is a thread that is about something you really don't like for example, twilight, you don't have to post on it if it were a thread where people would get offended with your disagreement. But if you did say how much you didn't like it or how much you disagree with the opinions expressed on it, you could say whatever you felt politely.

First I have to say that this is a great thread!

And I want to add one thing in regards to this point you made. Lots of times threads are worded in a way that the creator gives the impression that they want both sides to express themselves. But in reality they don't. But you don't know that until after the fact. I will give you a general example because I have seen it more than once.

I posted in a thread where no one wrote anything mean, rude, or offensive. Alot agreed 100%. But there were some that didn't. And everyone did as you have advised...and we all politely disagreed.

Than the thread creator continually threatened to close the it...they posted this ASAP after anyone that didn't fully agree with their view point.

And asumming everyone's points have been politely worded, we should all feel free to express ourselves without worry. I guess what I am trying to say is no one has a way of knowing if a person will be offended by another feeling differently.

And in regards to people wanting/thinking about starting a thread... if they can't handle a different opinion, even when presented in the nicest manner possible, than maybe they should stop and think about the fact that not everyone is going to completely agree. Because short of stating,'if you don't agree don't post'. There will alway be 1 if not more that will express differently.

So basicaly I am saying that thread makers need to ask themselves before they start, if they can handle any difference in opinion/feelings. Because being bullied out of politely voicing yourself is not in the true spirit of a forum. Nor is it a fun experience.

Thank you for posting! You expressed some great points and I agree 100%! And you're right, you should always express your opinion but in a way that is non-hurtful or rude to the other member.
