Question How do I give a thanks point for advice given in a pm?

I'm sorry if I missed this somewhere, but I'd like to know how you give a rep point to someone who helps you via pm rather than in a post. Do you just pick one of their posts at random and give the rep point there? It seems that wouldn't be a good idea because the post has nothing to do with the reason for the rep point. ???

It seems like there is not a way to give a rep point directly through a PM. I personally go to a thread or post they have and leave the info of it including a little thing about the PM. Although it can get annoying sometimes, you did make someone happy by giving them a rep point!

You cannot give a Rep Point to a person's PM. What you can do, is you can go to their profile, then click Find all threads started by (Member's Username. Click on any of their threads. Now give click on the "Thumbs Up" sign and you will give them a Rep Point. t doesn't matter where you give them a Rep Point. If you think they did something good, give them a point!
