Not a bad idea, and I agree. I never actually even posted an introduction thread because I didn't see it! Moving it up would definitely be a good idea!!!!!!
Only thing is, PMing is available until the member becomes a Webkinz, so the Welcome PM wouldn't work. Maybe some kind of pop-up or tutorial that shows/tells you how to post/make a thread would work? Or even in the confirmation e-mail, the one you have to click on the link, they could explain.
Good idea! It never occurred to me that this would help, but I think it would!!
I think that when people are new a message shows up at the top of the forum saying that they should post in that section, but I am not completely positive on that. I like your idea though, it would definitely help out a lot of members. REP!
That's a great idea. I'm sure a standard-PM could be sent out automatically after you activate your account, and it would help many users. I think that moving the section up hihgher would be great too.
I think the Hi, I My name is Joe, and I LOVE my Webkinz! section should be moved up closer to the top. Many members do not see the section when they first join. Also, I think when a member first joins, a PM should be sent to them by an Admin (or automatically) talking about the rules, going over what a PM is, etc.

Thanks for stopping by!
I agree. That way they can't just scroll down to the bottom and say they agree without reading it.
