Default Having a button where people other than you can edit?

Hi guys!
I was just thinking, and I don't know if V Bulletin does this, but I think it would be cool/convenient if we could have a button that would let certain people edit posts. Let's say Stan, Joe, and Julia made a contest thread. Stan was the poster of the thread, and Joe and Julia were like the other judges for it. More people posted entries for it, and Stan wasn't on in the last couple days. Joe/Julia noticed it, and they had no other way of posting contestants.

So, I was thinking, when you are making a thread, there could be like a button that says

"Allow these member(s) to edit your post"

And Stan could put Joe and Julia.

--------------------

Now, I understand, some bad things could happen with this. Like, Joe could trash Stan's post saying mean stuff, etc. But maybe this could be an option for just contests, shops (name shops, room shops, etc) and other things you could have partners with.

This is just a suggestion, and I want to hear what you think (:

Thank you to these people for ideas! :

For example, when you edit the post, at the bottom it should say something like:
Last edited by GoldenPuppy; 11-06-2010 at 05:06 PM..
And when you click on it, it should tell you the different versions of the post.
So you can just do some adjustments and copy & paste back the post before it was edited.

I'm sorry, but vBulletin doesn't have that option. Justin looked into possibly adding programing like that a while back, but it didn't work out.
