Everyone has likes and dislikes, but I think it is important to respect the other person opinion even if it differs from your own. I always liked what my grandmother told me when I was a little girl... and I am sure many of you will recognize it.... treat others the way that you wish to be treated and you will never go wrong.
You're definitely right Lyssa. (Dixie is too, as per usual.) Hate and love are such strong words, not to be just thrown around. Love and hate are both very powerful emotions, thus provoke powerful responses. They should be used with caution. (And Dixie's right- hate should be "****" out.)
Also, I don't believe hate should be in ****. If, for example, you're saying, "I'd hate for the Gifting program here to end," it wouldn't make sense to say, "I'd dislike it if the Gifting program here were to end."
