Yes, I agree. :/ I myself, don't use them anymore. I only used them on RPs, to separate my numerous charries from one another. XP [My 118+ charries aren't "numerous" anymore in comparison to any other RPer's charries, now, though. ]
I completely agree....orange is ok with me, but light green/light blue/white etc. I have a really hard time reading. I highlight it, but it's quite a pain to do so every time (especially if it's a long post)...
Well, xD, orange is the darkest color for citrus fruits.
But, yellow, light green, light blue, and white, give me a break (I'm not an old lady)
Colors of this type of hue I can see fine, be they mustard yellow, and the first hue of blue that a reg member can use is fine, but anything lighter I can not see at all, never mind the eye strain. I can't see anything but a blank page.....really.....I see nothing if you use the lightest tones. Sorry.
i also i am not old and have very good eyesight but the colors against the white back really do hurt my eyes to and i skipthospost witch i really hate doing especially in the recipe and chat forums because i do not know if i am saying something that has already been said
far from old and hoping to stay that way
(the fact that i remember when shutter shades were first cool in the "real" world will not catch up with me)
After reading all these posts, I am beginning to wonder if I should change my font and color, never thought of bold and thick being hard to read... maybe just basic black is the way to go
I lke your font and colour, your posts are very easy to read. and your bolding is just fine.

There is no choice in the matter, the font colours are a package deal. However, on the profiles when members choose a dark background colour, the pale font colours become the easiest to read.

IMPACT IS A FONT DESIGNED FOR SHORT HEADINGS
You are right, it's Impact that I always have trouble reading.
Another thing to remember: different computers will show colours differently. What is OK on one computer is too pale on another. This depends both on your computer screen, and on your own adjustments for brightness and contrast.
