Actually, COPPA is a standard that we must comply with, in which we agree not to share any identifying information to other sources (kind of like HIPAA for doctors), such as e-mail addresses, IP addresses, etc. A user identifying their gender would not fall under the provisions set out in the act.

Because we can guess what gender people are, but I'm not sure we'd be correct!
