If it's only for the post count, i wouldn't post, but sometimes i repeat what someone has said just so they don't feel like i'm ignoring them or something. (not that they would know, but still). I usually try to use different words and add something in if i can. But that's just me.
i agree with most of it but i know i don't read what other people post in the help secson i only read th efirst post so if someone did it before me i didnt know just trying to help out probly some others do the same thing but there are others that do it for the post count
I wonder what you were supposed to do, go through every single page in this section to make sure you weren't repeating a topic?
It's my pet peeve when someone comes behind someone else to answer a question that's already answered in the exact same way. For threads, it's harder to see if it's been repeated. But for posts on a thread, it's right there. Good thead.
Well, then this is an excellent example for you! lol
Most people (like you) who make repeat threads don't realize they are doing it. They honestly haven't seen another thread like it. Some people only read the first post of a thread, then reply, without it even occuring to them other people may have already answered.
People are not taking the time to read the threads they are just posting. Its a bad habit we all have gotten into. For example...I don't have time to read all the threads on this post and I am posting this. I have no idea if anyone has said it or not. On threads where there is only one post though its pretty silly to repeat the first post..and that does happen a lot. Then there is the other issue of people posting literally at the same time and it looks like a repeat when it wasn't intended that way.
