I totally understand that. If you're posting a message on a friend's profile, you can definitely see the other messages displayed there. Sometimes I do that too, but I try not to. I think once or twice I may have offended someone in reading a post someone posted on their profile, and I certainly don't look through others conversations.

Thanks for your opinion!

I agree that if it's public, it's public. But you are able to read other people's conversations that aren't with you, and I know some people have done it.

It's sort of like someone's reading your IM's or your e-mails behind your back. Not a good feeling, although I understand when people aren't trying to hurt you most of the time.

Also, Dixiecup pointed out that you can make your profile private or talk through PM. I'm not one that uses PMing for conversations a lot, but I understand a lot of you do. Also, I think your friends can also look at your conversations, even if it's private (please let me know if that's wrong.)

I really don't know if others do this, but it's just a heads up to respect others privacy.

As always, please post your ideas/opinions/criticism. Thanks!
Yes, that can get very annoying. If you don't allow visitor messages, then nobody can view your conversations. Great thread!
And, it was their conversation, not yours, so that is just being snoopy.

Yes, I agree. I love receiving visitor messages though I would love it if there was an option for your profile when no one can read your conversations with other people.

LOL it's happened to almost everyone, I think.

I actually think the opposite.
Of course, just an opinion.
If Justin and Wendy made the profiles public, then I don't think anything private should be spoken about.
I don't really mind if people look at my conversations because really, what will they see? "Hi, what did you do today?" "nothing, you?".
I personally don't think its such a big deal.

Thanks for your opinion, FunnyHoney!

By "privacy" I mean not reading others conversations, not saying something private that you don't want someone to hear. But all the same, I think Justin and Wendy made the profiles public because of that too.

I agree, that is rude. (I have once noticed someone on the profile going "Happy birthday!: and I wished them happy birthday. It's insensitve and I think wrong. If something is really priavte, use PM (I never seem to, my box is always full, too lazy to clean it out.)

Sory fro bad grammer, I am really tired.

Thanks, Ivie!

Same here, my box is almost always full and I'm lazy to clean it out. That's why I prefer using profile messaging.

i agree with you.
I never knew that others can read our own conversations throughout our OWN PM's.
i thank you much for pointing this out. =)
I gave you rep.
I hope many others do too.

And, you are right, it is a public profile, so be careful what you post because anyone who looks sees. =)

Thanks, cynthi!

Actually I think only admins or mods have the ability to do that... I don't know. But it is possible for others to read your conversations

I think this is a good idea, but sometimes I have to look back at my friend's converstations to get what they were saying to me. (Of course I will ask first, but most of the time they say "look at the conversation I had with --Insert Username here--")
I think you should respect people's privacy.
