I agree! (Even though I've never been in the creative writing section ) People spend a lot of time on their stories, and they could be interesting even though the title might not sound exciting to you.
I agree a book shouldn't be judged by its cover, a story by its title, etc
But I for one don't do much reading in that section.
Plus, sometimes, it is human nature to mentally judge whether or not to visit that thread, read that book, etc by its title.
I am more likely to click on a suggestion or something that looks funny/adventurous than I am something about the Jonas Brothers or Miley Cyrus. I haven't read your stories, but I personally prefer comedy/adventure over drama/fantasy (although the occasional thriller is something I like). I like studying the history of wars too, but you don't really see many of those stories on WI, lol.
I agree, you never know what you could be missing out on if you choose to just a story solely on it's title. A lot of great stories might have somewhat boring titles so it's good to take a look at them all anyway (: After all, a title cannot possibly tell fully what a story is about.
But......I have a big time limit on the computer (hour and a half a day) and if I see a story that I don't think would exactly interest me, then why would I look at it? if it says in the title that it's something that I don't like, then I'm not going to spend my time reading it just so that it can have views.
Plus, I dont' really go into the creative writing section. I'm more interested in other things besides stories.
Agreed, VollyGirl. It hurts my feelings because ALL of the creative writing section stories are about the Jonas Brothers, school girls, love, ect. I'm sure they are great stories for people that like tor ead that, but they should widen their minds a bit.
