maybe there is already a way to do this, but i cant find one.
i think we should be able to disable smileys in the 'user options' part of our account. i know you can disable smileys in each post but i dont like having to go advanced all the time when i post, especially on the dct. i dont even know if this is possibly with vbullitions programing, but i would like to be able to make faces without them turning in to smileys like these do
If you click the "Reply" button and go to the advanced posting mode, scroll down to "Additional Options" and under "Miscellaneous Options" there's one unchecked box, which says "Disable smilies in text." Click that and your post will be smilie free :). That's not a permanent thing for all your posts though, I don't think. I'll go check and see if there's a permanent option for it.

Well, you can go and disable images; although I don't know if that will work or not. You might check in edit options. Also if you go into advanced reply and scroll down there is a box and you click on it and it will disable them once you post your reply. I don't know of any other very quick ways to do it, sorry.
