Default Re: Deleting your own threads and posts

This isn't good at all. Some people might loose hundreds of posts from a thread. If you're really concerned, just flag your thread or post - or even just edit your post to say 'removed'.

GE doesn't mean graphic shop. It's a safer way to trade WW items here on WI.

You can not delete your post, but you can modify it. If you make a typo, or a mistake, or if you got carried away in the heat of the moment and posted something that was worded too strongly, you can just hit Modify and edit yourself.

like, if you accidentally made a thread or post saying something that's not allowed on WI, you should have a option to delete it.
or you want a fresh, new start on here, you could delete all your posts. of course, you can't delete another person's post.
(this would also be helpful for visitor messages!)

opinions?
Sorry, not a thing I would want.
First of all, you should know the WI rules by heart. You shouldn't have to delete your posts. And if you really DO need things deleted, that's why mods do clean-ups for us.
Second of all, you can modify your posts. For example, once I postedsomething from 1 RP onto another on accident. All I did was edit, and it was fine.
Third, on your profile you can delete a message. On your own profile, anyway.

I don't think you'd have to delete all your posts like that. Maybe someone else would want to look at it, and they'd see it disappeared. I do think that sometimes it's good to not delete your posts. And for threads, only if they're inappropiate and such... and you can ask a mod/admin to delete that as well. I don't know about posts, but...

That's an excellent point-I forgot that when a thread is deleted, others' posts are deleted too.

Nah, that wouldn't be good. Posts/threads are only deleted if they are not innapropriate/spam/not allowed.
