Default Curious Question

If we were allowed to delete any thread we wanted (like clicking a checkbox and going to the bottom of the page to press delete) just like visitor messages would we lose WI Bucks?

I was just curious because I have a lot of old threads that if I could I would want to delete but I think that would deduct from my WI Bucks.

Mods and Admins can reply too.

You probably would, because you would be erasing information. I wouldn't delete a thread, ever.

Okay. Thanks for your input.
If your still here I have a question for you: If you could delete threads without losing WI $ wouldn't you want to delete any of your first threads? Or any that you messed up on (made mistake)?

Good idea, but I am pretty sure the reasons the admins and mods don't delete every thread is that it'd take away from users post counts and WI$

I'm pretty sure you would, because that's basically just taking away post's from your posts count. But if you close a thread, nothing's delated,so the post's stay there.
Hope I helped! :]

I agree with the top 2 posts. It would take away from your post count. Thus, deducting ur WI$. Really good question. Rep.

Hello! I'm sorry, but I don't honestly think we should be allowed to do that. One person might be really attached to that thread, and saving it for future use, while you may dislike it a lot. Although it doesn't really matter, it would take away from all of the high post counts many members have gradually gained. You wouldn't want to make them mad at you because you deleted a thread, and they got upset they lost a few posts, would you? I'm just saying, that I think it should stay the way it is for now. It's nice and easy for everyone. Have a fantastical day!

When a thread is deleted, you lose post count. Other members may have really enjoyed that thread that you deleted. Like if I deleted all my old COWS and Moo's Adventures, members wouldn't be able to go back and read them. What if they missed a certain day and wanted to go back and read it. If I deleted it, then they wouldn't be able to. That is why we just close old threads so that members can go back and read it if they wanted.

I have to agree with everyone on just closing the thread and not deleting it. I actually have quite a few closed threads of members on my subscription list that I either use as a reference or just enjoy reading again. Funny thing that’s how I was actually able to catch up on all of Cows4You adventures. Which are really fun to read!
