I was thinking about the new rare item format at the top of the page, and I started thinking about CSO items...they're the same thing as rares, except they're a little less expensive. So why don't they show up at the top of the page? I was thinking that whenever a CSO item comes into the Curio shop, a popup would form on the side of the rare schedule, and it would stay for the whole hour. Here's what I think it could look like:
The extra blue space would disapear once the item dissapears from the Curio Shop. What do you think?
An ingenious idea, but I think this is unnecessary and gives more work to the people doing the tracking (volunteers, remember?).
CSO items are not the same as rares, and are much, much cheaper. The CSO items also come up very frequently. If there is one particular CSO Item that you want, just check a couple times a day and you should get it within a week or two. The hunt is part of the fun! Or if you keep on missing it, you could start a thread in the Rares and CSO Items forum asking to be notified when your particular item shows up.
The RARES are just that: rares. They show up on an average of once every three months, and that is why the notice is necessary.
In addition, the CSO are tracked in the Asian thread and the American/European thread (stickied blue threads at the top of the Rares and CSO Items forum). Just have a peek in there!
I think someone has to enter the rares into the WI system manually. Sometimes there are as many as three or four CSOs at once. I don't think it would all fit at the top of the page, and it would be a lot to keep up with. Here's a site that can help: Curio Shop Home - curioshop.
