Consider Other People's Feelings!
Hello WI! I love our WI community. Usually everyone gets along and we all have a good time. I've noticed it seems like there are more arguments and fights lately. You ask someone a question, and they get mad at you.
I'd just like to remind you that the person on the other side of the screen has feelings just like you do. If you send something mean to them, they may feel hurt. You may think it doesn't matter, they're just another person on the internet. Well, it is a real person just like you!
If you're angry or upset about something, before sending it to another person, think "Would I want to be sent this message?" If the answer is no, DON'T send it. If you send someone a message you later regret, go and apologize. Hopefully you can become good friends.
So remember that golden rule, "Treat others as you'd want to be treated!"
Here's an assignment: Think of other people's feelings! We need to keep WI a happy place.:smitten:

Re: Consider Other People's Feelings!
I agree. I've seen several today. All you have to do is report, and the staff will take care of it.

Re: Consider Other People's Feelings!
Fantastic thread. :) Price is right... though it's tempting to get involved {I admit that I have several times}, it's best to report it and not interfere. Thanks for a great reminder!

Re: Consider Other People's Feelings!
Thanks for this reminder! Sometimes people post really rude things just because they're mad at others IRL, but I think if they're mad then instead of being mean they can VM/PM someone about it. Also on the DCT I was trying to be nice to someone, but then they started being really rude back to me even I was being really nice and I didn't say one mean thing...

Re: Consider Other People's Feelings!
This is part of our rules, treat others with politeness and respect. If you see a rude post, don't keep the fight going, just flag that post (and please don't quote rude posts).

However, please keep in mind that what sounds rude to you, may not have been meant rudely. See if you can interpret the comment differently, mentally add a smile to it, or maybe it was meant jokingly and somehow didn't come out right. Remember that there are all ages here, and for some, English may not be their first language.

Always put the kindest interpretation possible to the things that you read.
