It's no good just to post saying I dunno. You could post what you did to try and make it work instead of just leaving it there and say nothing. Then this other person who has the same problems won't have to do it over again with no luck.
One thing to consider is how long it has been since the original post - and how many other replies there are.
I so often see replies where it's clear the person did not read any of the posts below it - sometimes days later people are still posting - "This is what you should do - hope I helped" long after the original question was answered.
On the other hand if a question has been up for hours without a response or no one else has responded yet - posting to say you have the same problem or are wondering the same thing would be great - just so the other person knows they are not alone.
i don't know, i agree and disagree...when i see a thread i don't have the answer to, i tell them i will go look around, and when i find the answer or needed info, i come back and make another post with it
I agree, it is better only to post on a thread that you're interested in.
I agree with that wholeheartedly. I dont look at threads I'm not interested in, so to post on one and say "I don't know what you're talking about, sorry", which I've seen alot, there's no point in that. Or if you look at it and have nothing constructive to say, then don't. Find something you are interested in or have an opinion on or something you can help with to post on.
