i tihnk that would be a really good option because then if your question was answered you could close it so no one else would waste their time. also, if you had a thread like one that i have where you are looking for song ideas to put on your ipod, then you could close the thread when you got enough ideas.

At one point, we could close our threads. The ability was taken away and I agree it should return. That would solve issues with repetive threads and especially a bunch of posts with the same answer to one question.

I AGREE! I think we also should be able to delete posts/threads as well.
I get the answer to my situation and I am able to not need answers anymore.
SO I think we should be able to close and delete threads and posts

I will tell Admin and Mods and Owners to see if they will "give in"!

Thanks guys! You phrased your responses well and each of you has a great point. I love how everyone has a different way of thinking .

I completly agree! Sometimes I'll make a thread that has a really simple problem, or I'm just like "Why in the world did I make that thread?" a day later. It also kind of is embarassing when you have to repeat the answer if you want to post at all.

Sometimes I post on help threads even if there are answers already Sometimes you have things to add to the solution/s already given.

We used to have an option where members could close their own threads, but it turned out there was a glitch with that feature where members could open threads, even if they hadn't been the one to close them. Justin had to get rid of the feature.

If you have a thread you would like to have closed, please "red flag" it with a message asking to have it closed. A member of the staff can take care of it quickly.
