I think a lot of people don't understand what tags are used for. They are for describing the thread you just posted on so another person can click on it to find another similar to the one the tag was placed on. Now the DCT doesn't count
But I'm talking different threads. Made to be productive. If you leave a tag that says oh I don't know..'cheese!' then how is that going to help someone? ITS NOT. Please consider this before you post random tags. Thanks.
I do see your point here, but lets say someone put 'Water' and there was like 100 tags that said 'Water'. It could lead too really helpful threads, that may help the person. Anyways,I respect your opinion.
I agree with you, but up to a point. The totally random tags, no offense, like "code orange", should either be done away with, or changed to a meaningful tag. On the other hand, for clubs, and the open mike, I think tags that say "I Love (insert topic name here) ~(insert user name here)", are fine. It's like a souvenier in my opinion.
thank you all for posting! Lizzywebkinz you do have a good point however, I am just pointing out what tags are actually for. And even though maybe a random tag was placed by somebody and it leads them to a threads, that isn't what their use is for. So if you made a good, helpful tag, instead of a random one, then you wouldn't have click on random ones anyways. Because more than likely, nobody is going to click on a random tag anyways.
