I totally agree with you. Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean you have to ruin it for everyone else, and be mean to those who do like it. And, if you don't have something nice to say about the subject, then don't say anything. Instead of risking other peoples' feelings getting hurt, or putting yourself in danger of getting caught/in trouble, just don't comment rudely in the first place. This is a great reminder, and thank you so much for making this thread.
Somewhat agreed. If people are mocking others because of it, then yeah, that's rude.
But if they're just saying 'oh, i used to like that, but i don't anymore', or 'i don't like that', I don't see a problem with that. People should be able to state their opinions without mods and others telling them to stop being rude when they're not. Just because they disagree, doesn't mean they're being rude.
But, again, if they're making fun of others because of it, obviously, a line has been crossed, and that's the time to report.
Yes, there really are a wide range of people that enjoy Webkinz. That's one of the great things about Webkinz - there's something for everyone. In my experience, very young kids enjoy some of the easier games and buying stuff; slightly older kids can play more advanced games and even explore the clubhouse without having issues on spelling words and taking too long to type things out; older kids and teenagers often like decorating rooms and collecting things; and i've found that adults usually enjoy all of these, especially earning kinzcash.
I've also noticed that younger kids tend to go even farther than just naming their pet. They often come up with personalities and funny quirks for each of their pets - particular voices and catchphrases, storylines, who they're best friends with, etc. It makes everything way entertaining and more fun!
I wish that when someone sees something they don't agree with or don't like, they would just pass it up and not comment at all. "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Wise words to live by.
