Default Black Cat lost it's whiskers

Has anyone else had the whiskers of the black cat pull out? How do you get them back in? Can it be done?

This almost happened to my Racoon .. I think Ganz should make the whiskers more durable and less easy to pull out.

I'm sorry, but I don't think there is any way to put them back in.

Someone else had their black cat lose it's whiskers and the thread had info on getting them back in. Here's the link:

We don't have a Webkinz with whiskers yet but I saved the link for future reference. Hope it helps.

my daughter bought my grandson a red eyed tree frog a while back. they had so sooner registered it (he was as pleased as punch as he loves frogs) he was playing with it and one of the eyes fell off. my daughter being the concerned parent she is first emailed ganz and then they gave her a number to call. the up shot of everything was, they felt it was a safety issue. they let her keep the registration for the pet (he did not lose it) and they sent her another pet with a valid code and all they wanted was the defective toy back which they paid for the shipping. i thought this was very nice of them, though since then i have read other posts that people have left that said that ganz blamed the problem on the persons abuse of the toy. try emailing the support and see if they respond to you. this could be an issue if an young child gets it caught in their throat or something.

i think they should do something as their toys should be better made for the SAFETY of our children.

We just got our Black Cat, Salem, and were so excited until his whiskers fell out the very next day! I was able to reattach them, and I realized that the whiskers on all of the cats are not very securely attached, so cat owners, be careful! The whiskers are just four long strands of thick thread, tied in a knot in the middle. That knot is located under the cat's chin, on the outside of the plushie. If you have a cat, take a look under its chin. See the knotted thread? Don't pull on it, or your cat will lose its whiskers, too!

Here's how I reattached little Salem's whiskers:

1. Thread one individual whisker through a sewing needle. It should be a needle with a small eye, so the whisker fits tightly inside it.

2. Put the tip of the needle up through the center of the chin and up through the muzzle. Have the tip of the needle exit halfway between the cat's eye and nose, about where the whiskers were originally. I had to use a small pair of pliers to pull the needle and whisker back out through the side of the muzzle.

3. Repeat step 2 with each of the remaining whiskers, four for each side. Make sure you have each whisker come through the side of the muzzle in a slightly different spot, as they originally were.

4. Thread your needle with sewing thread in the same color as the whiskers. Make a couple of stitches under your cat's chin to secure the whisker knot to the chin itself. This will ensure that your cat won't lose it's whiskers again!
that's how to fix it.
