I do agree Gram2Four. Getting in trouble on this website takes something very bad to have been committed. The point I am trying to make is that some people are able to return to WI. They should have "Suspended" under their names instead of "Banned." "Banned" members, if my thoughts are in place, will not deserve to come back to the forum for what they have done.

Your not understanding, he/she is saying it can be confusing when you look at someone as banned, suspended means they can t back on and banned means never again come back on. They want that to be changed.

I agree with this! i'd had a couple of my friends "banned" and I wasn't sure if they'd be able to come back or not! (luckily, they did. )

This is a question for Justin. He's the one who knows what vBulletin can and can't do. I will let him know that you are asking. --FIA

Default Re: Banned vs. Suspended

The definition of banned means the member can no longer access the WI forum. Whether it is for one day, or for the rest of their life, they can no longer access WI. Creating a new system for temporary vs permanent banning would open a door that I don't want to open. If I were to do this, the next request would be to separate those who have been banned for say 3 days vs those banned for a month vs those banned for a year... and so on... Then we start getting into the reasons of banning... It's just not a path that the staff would like to take at this time.
