Default Automatic Subscription

Hello!

When you start a thread, you pretty much have to take the time to subrcribe to it so that you can keep up with everything. If you forget to subscribe at the beginning when you first start it it's usually pretty hard to find it to subscribe to it after you've taken some time to find it. I'd like to see a feature where when you first start a thread, it automatically subscribes you to it. Of course you may not want this option. That's why you could turn off that option, so it wouldn't bother you at all!

You're in luck! There is currently that option. Go to User CP; Options; then where you have selected "Do not subscribe" click the drop down arrow and click "Subscribe" then save that. It now subscribes to every thread you post on!

That subrcribes to EVERY thread though. This would be to just the ones that you start only. But thank you to make that point known!

OOOH, Yes. I see what you're saying. Sorry about that.
But, yes, I agree that would be a nice option that you could turn off/on in your Options. Subscribing to only the threads you make. Great idea!

I might be confused (hahah it happens!) but if you go to My Posts the drop down box allows you to click on My Threads...and that shows all the threads you have posted...? Does that make sense? Sorry if I am totally off on this...it's late...er, early haha!

Rainshadow, the feature that you're looking for is in your Thread Tools at the top of the first post on every thread. Click on Thread Tool, and choose "Subscribe to this thread" in the drop-down menu. A new screen will open, confirm and save. Voila! a one-second job. You can do this to any thread, it doesn't have to be yours.

That's not quite the feature I'm looking for, but I do know how to do it. This feature wouldn't require doing that. After you start it, you are already subscribed to it. You don't have to individually subscribe to every thread you start. It would already be done for you!

That is a neat idea - BUT, you can always go to Thread Tools and subscribe to a thread there.
If you didn't want to do that, you can go to your profile quickly by clicking your username on the left; Statistics; Then view your threads you have created.
