~Save as a Draft~ Ever started a thread - but couldn't finish it?
I think we have all had these moments. You are writing a thread - you have gotten into big deatails and it is pretty long and you have worked so hard....and then your mom calls you for dinner. Well, your thread isn't finished. You don't want people to read it half done! You could copy it into a WORD document but that just takes time! Wouldn't it be great to have SAVE AS DRAFT button? Maybe near the TITLE? Wouldn't that be handy? Tell me what you think!
Re: ~Save as a Draft~ Ever started a thread - but couldn't finish it?
Thanks! I thought about it once when I was making a thread and it was long and then I had to go and it made me mad. Maybe it could also like auto save every couple minutes.....because sometimes I hit the backspace and my whole thread goes away and I go back to the last page and that really bugs me. And maybe the thread could be part of your PM box so you would have to clear it out when your done. You could also use it for PM's.....hmmmm! Well thanks everyone for your support!
Personally, I think it is the most important feature WI could add to this forum. Not only should threads be able to be saved, but posts, PMs, and VMs should also work this way. Sometimes there is not sufficient time to completely write something up, and other times a screen can accidentally be x'd out (which happens to me quite often...).
About saving in Microsoft Word, I have had trouble occasionally saving messages there because when I try to re-post them to WI it gives me some sort of error...
THE PROBLEM, however, is that in the other thread it was dicussed that this feature is not possible in VBulletin at this time... It would be nice to verify that information. Such a shame if it cannot be done, but if so there isn't much we can do.
