Yes, unfortunately we have lost deposit money, payments that are made in advance...and yes it did upset my kids when we lost access to certain cable channels that were dropped or became a premium service, or not available with a new provider. They were upset with a switch in ISP's because the access wasn't as good as promised. They did get upset when lines were down and the service we were paying for was not available at all. We took our losses because we didn't want to continue to pay for a service that didn't work or had poor quality a lot of the time. Many other people chose to stay, we moved on to a company that had better service for our needs.

Webkinz is a wonderful idea and my kids love them also. When I say move on, I am saying do not buy any more of the plushes strictly for the on-line access if you are unhappy with the site. At least you have the plush to show for you money. Stuffed animals are not inexpensive and not all come with an online code. I pay a whole lot more than 12.99 for Barbies, Bratz, baby dolls for my nieces, and the accessories that go along with them - that do nothing more than spark their imagination.

Believe me I don't enjoy the down time, and glitchy things that happen. It irked me not to be able to do Daily activities the other day. But, its those times that my kids walk away and choose to play elsewhere.

Cute analogy - fabric and sewing! Sometimes the material you choose for a project just doesn't work, so you need to choose a different kind. You are then out the money you paid for the material, which is not cheap these days either!

Unfortunately that is exactly what seems to be happening. I have already stopped buying their products, and it sounds like others are doing the same. I am glad that we are only about $200 into this, but there are SOO many more who are in MUCH deeper than I, and quite frankly it is the principle of the matter. I don't think that it is wrong to expect to receive the service that we paid for, and I don't think there is anything wrong with complaining about it. I think prospective new customers of Webkinz need to know what they are getting into...I sure wish I had.

Maybe people should boycott the web site as well. I know if I was never able to get on the web site I would stop using it. Fortunately, I have not had any problems.

I completley agree with you!! you People do know they are only human!! And they probably have a life and a family to run! So people just chill a bit because this site is not there only life...they are human too!

I disagree. In the case of Ganz (not WI) we've paid for the product and we have the right to complain if it isn't working right. We aren't harassing them by emailing--they have a complaints department who are getting paid to read and respond to such emails. And no, I don't think they always know about every glitch. Sometimes if you want something fixed, you have to complain about it.

Complaining annoys me too! I mean some of them are ok, but I don't get how venting here helps the problem at all. I mean Ganz isn't really searching through the threads of WI looking for the latest glitches. I also don't get why people are don't stop buying the stuff. If they seriously don't like the website they should stop playing it! Some people can't say one thing thye like about and those are the people I think should leave the site! If they can't get any enjoyment out of it then they have no purpose here.
