I just tried firefox, same issue there too. I can log on long enough to see he only has 6 items in his dock, so I don't think it's related to that. Interestingly enough, once the pop-up message is displayed, you can still click on the advertisements and it will change what is displayed behind the message, you just cant click on anything behind the message. If I clcik on the charm thingy, it erases the pop-up with a new message about having at least one charm. Once you clcik on that you can see the main screen but your pet picture is blank. Hope he hasn't run away!
No I mean the webkinz server (I may be using the wrong word) but the company that provides the internet service to ganz. I have 2 accounts and my nieces and nephews have accounts and often some of us can get on and the others can not. I wish I could explain it better
I understand what ya mean pupnsuds. I was replying to some of the earlier thoughts in the thread.
I found it odd that I got just one hit when I searched google for the message I received. it's as if it is not the standard "server too busy" type of message. It's more like "go away, we don't like your kind here!"
I've had the identical experience (with Firefox). I was trying to do maintenance on the accounts of some young friends who are away, and I got the same message on one account. I would finally get on and then I would get the "Please wait ..." bit until the connection timed out.
I solved the problem by clearing all cookies and the cache prior to opening up the sign in screen.
Simply logging out and clearing the cache and cookies was not enough. I had to sign out, close all the Webkinz windows, clear all data, and then open the Webkinz log-in screen.
Oh - one other thing also worked sometimes - logging in off the customer support tab or the parental tab. These seem to put you into a less busy server.
So, I got to thinking, this didn’t occur until my son changed his pet. I got an idea. As soon as it would log in, I would click pets and attempt to change the active pet. The logout message occurs pretty fast, but, after a lot of tries I was able to click on a different pet. I still got the message, but I left it up on the screen and I saw the pet picture (in the background) change to a different pet. Then, I clicked the message. I tried to logon again, worked like a charm. So, just to verify and add more gray hair, I selected the pet it was on before. Immediately I got the message and was kicked out. Fortunately I already had a solution, it just took me a bunch more logons to get a working pet selected. Conclusion: 3 of his 5 pets are "bad" and cause that error when selected. The other 2 work fine. Hope Webkins has a way to fix them!
Frist off welcome to WI! You were right to com,e here for help. Well i've heard of this happening. the error probly occered when logging on one of the other pets. It takes i few days for them to reposd. Good luck!
unfortunatly, many people had the same idea at the same time to add their new christmas presents to WW, and i couldn't get in either. Just hang in there, and you'll probably be able to get in today or tommorow. Good luck!
