I feel like I am a very active, helpful member. If I have a question, I don't create a new thread about it. I search the forum until I find the answer. If I don't find the answer after about 10 minutes of searching, I'll create a thread asking my question. Since there are so many helpful guides on here, usually my question can be answered without creating a thread.
I've noticed that a huge factor in how many WI bucks a user has is how many threads created by the user. Just because a person creates a thread doesn't mean the thread is helpful. A user could create a hundred new threads that only receive a few replies on them, and that would give them a lot of WI bucks.
I don't really care how few bucks I have, but you have been hinting at a lot of cool new features we can buy using our bucks, and honestly I don't think I'd have enough to participate in any of them. I am just wondering what I should be doing to be a more helpful and active member, since apparently I am not one according to this new system.
Well, first off, you go over to where it says 'Welcome' or where you would log in or look at notifications. It says Wi Bucks. Next to your number, it'll say [Balance] Click that. Here you can transfer checking to savings or savings to checkings. Pick either one. These are ways to save your WI Bucks. Another thing you could do is Request a Loan. You can get 1,000 to 10,000 WI Bucks. In the real world, you can get bank loans. But you do have to pay it back. I'm pretty sure that's what they'll do here. It'll give you money so you can do raffles or whatever WI has planned for this.
How do I earn WI Bucks?
Earning WI bucks is simple. Posting, recieving rep, giving rep, popular threads, popular profiles, etc, can all get you rep. I think things as simple as going to a thread can give you WI Bucks.
Can I give WI Bucks?
Yes. Where it shows reps and posts, when you post, you may see something that says, 'Give WI Bucks' this is where you do that. Click that button. It'll take you to a place that says recipent. It should have that user's name. Then you write a comment so they know why they recieved this. Then you write how much you want to give them and PRESTO! You've given some WI Bucks.
I think WI Bucks will be a fun thing for all of us! We'll have to see how it all plays out. Thanks for adding this WI!
