Well, I've had a few people in my family that have served in the military two of them died due to health complications. Well, I take that back I remember some more family members that are still around such as my grandfather and his brother (who is no longer living). My brother was in the air force, not as a soldier but in communications. His camp got hit twice by rocket launchers when he was in Iraq. One hit killed someone he knew the second hit was just a close call. But, it was still scary to hear about.
I am very grateful as an American that that are people in the military who are risking their lives to protect this country and am very glad that they are coming home slowly. It's sad that so many died in their cause. It takes a lot to go through the training in the military and to realize and think about constantly that a certain day could be your last day on earth.
I'm sorry to those that have lost a friend or family member in any war.
