Thank you, veterans.
I am priviledged to know several veterans. I am amazed at their dedication and zeal. A lot of time is given to serve their country. For most veterans, their duties are more than just a job. For those of you who give your time and your knowledge to serving your country, I would like to extend a note of great appreciation. Thanks for all that you do.
May the familes of the fallen be comforted knowing that many are mourning with you.
Thank you to all those who have, are and will serve our country. The United States military is an all volunteer force and that is amazing! And also a special thanks to all the spouses servng our country. The military spouse is an unsung hero, so I'm singing for you now. For all those long nights worrying, for carrying all the family responisbility when your spouse is overseas, for all those days when you're really sick but there is no one else to watch the children for you so you drive on, for the cheerful note you put into your voice when he/she calls so you don't add to their stress even though you are seconds away from tears. And thank you to the children of military families, for allowing your lives to be disrupted every two years or possibly more. For all the big and small moments mom and or dad have to miss because they are overseas or in the field. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I am blessed to know men and women who by their own choice have served their country. They believe what they are doing is the right and honorable thing. I want to again thank them. I also want to pay tribute to the men and women, moms, dads, girlfriends, boyfriends, and any other personal support that allow these people to do their jobs. It takes a village to defend it's self and stand up for the rights of others, on more than one level. My thanks to everyone who knows and loves a defender, a protector. Thank you.
Today is a day to remember. The trouble your grandparents, dads, cousins, and friends went through is unbelievable.
Today is a day of respect. Today I will wear a poppy proud, and remember those who died. Especially my grandpa's very close friend. Both of them went to war and.. My grandpa almost didn't get out of there. War is horrible.
Anyways, Today. I shall remember all the soldiers, lieutenants, captains and other leaders. Who served for out country and gave us the freedom we all take for granted! I will remember.
