I love my mom. She is a ten-year breast cancer survivor and the youngest of ten children! I used to think she was the meanest mom in the world, but now I know that she loves me very much and always wants the best for me. I am very lucky to still have my mom living at my age (and hers). So, here's to my mom and moms everywhere: HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY!
I see so many people every day who feel strangely about family, so insecure and uncomfortable. So often guilt, resentment and confusion are in there somewhere. My childhood wasn't perfect, but I thank my mom often (and with gifts when i can!) because she never put me through anything that would make me hesitate to love her as a grown up.
I always felt loved and that I could trust her with just about anything.
Now I see that not only did she give me those (and so many other) things, but she also gave me a great friendship I might never have expected to cherish so much. I would pick my mom out of million people I wasn't related to and think I had been lucky to find such a person to have in my life.
I love you mom. Thanks for being a great mother and an amazing person.
My mom is the best! She makes me feel proud to be her daughter. She is always striving to be the best Godly woman she can be! She sets a great example for me and my sister, she is kind, loving, considerate and she always puts other peoples needs above her own. I am proud to be her daughter. I love you Mommy! Love,Abbi
This is difficult for me because I do not have the caring, loving mother that many do. At the moment the best thing I can say about my mother is that she gave birth to me and she now just moved across the US from me.
However, I have had other women in my life that loved and have shown what a mother should be. These are the women I have modeled after and love with all my heart. Most importantly Jody who passed away this year. She loved my children as her own grandchildren and me as a daughter. Thank you so much Jody for your love, wisdom and caring. You will never be forgotten.
My mother is one of my best friends - I talk to her almost every night, and am still learning about her to this day. I am grateful that she is in my life, because as a teenager I don't think I appreciated her the way I do now that I have kids of my own. One day I know that our roles will be reversed - I'll end up taking care of her the way that she took care of me, and I've told her that when that day comes, I'll be ready to do whatever I can to keep her life the best that it can be. She is one of the most caring people I know, and I love her.
