Wishing comfort to Philip and family. Shout out to moms to step up and donate!
Actually I donated money using paypal. I'm going to donate money to Phillip and his family as soon as I have it..I was just disappointed that when I donated money to WI I didnt get a badge and now I never will.

Justin
For anyone or any organization to be well rounded they need to address all areas of life. While some are not appropriate for this forum this chance to give is more than a nice thing but necessary for people to have the opportunity to look outside themselves to give back, to see how it affects others especially since this is a family and most importantly a children's site. We lead and teach by example and you have done a wondrous thing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I just hope there will be more opportunities to do more of this kind of thing.

This is such an amazingly awesome gift you are giving this family. I, personally, have a rare and (eventually) fatal disease. My husband and I have always been blessed to have great insurance to pay the bills and medications that are needed for me, but one thing that you all may not realize is that, while the money is an amazing gift -- please don't feel I am downplaying that aspect -- you are also giving this family something that no amount of money could ever purchase: your love and support.

It does so much good to know that there are people out there who care about you and who are thinking about you and the situation you are in. Just knowing that there is one person in the world who cries with your bad days and rejoices with your good ones can make such a world of difference! And so many people fail to realize that, while the patient definately needs your prayers and support, the family members need it just as much - if not more, sometimes, and especially in the event that it is a child who is ill.

Even if you can not donate money, please consider sending a note on the forum - just a word of encouragement or a reminder you will carry them in your thoughts or prayers. A minute of your time will go miles for these families.

My applause to whoever thought to do this. And to all who contribute. You are amazing.

How do you get the donor badge under your avatar? I've donated twice, and never received one. Do you have to donate over a certain dollar amount?

With love from my family to yours!

I have to post and say you are so right. I lost my husband 3 years ago to cancer after a 14 year battle and it is such an isolating disease.

One, you are the next persons worst nightmare.
Two, you are using every once of your strength and time fighting for that loved ones life that all else falls to the way side.
Three, even people whom care dearly don't know what to say or do.

JenLB you have said it so well, just knowing there are people whom care, and think and pray for you is huge.

The money or bingo coupons is not what anyone is giving, it is the HUG of "I care and you are not alone"

Carolyn
